I attended CSSGGS Workshop

During the summer of 2015, I attended Guru Nanak Dev University as a participant of the

Fulbright Scholars program. As a Fulbright participant, I studied Punjabi language and culture at

the centre on studies in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. In addition, I attended lectures on Sikhism and

Punjab history. My summer at the Centre on Studies in Sri Guru Granth Sahib was remarkable.

Our days were filled with rigorous linguistic instruction on Punjabi, which allowed me to gain a

deeper understanding of the language. The professors and doctoral students were extremely

welcoming, supportive and cultivated. I entered the program with very little knowledge about

Punjabi and Sikhism, but after completing the program I have gained an extensive level of

knowledge on the language of Punjab and Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Thank you, for your patience

and dedication to educating others.
